Nutrition

One of the many challenges we face as parents is to teach our children to eat well. Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian, Dr Merryn Netting can help you with all aspects of your child’s diet.  From basic advice regarding setting up great family eating habits to children with complex medical needs Merryn is able to work with you and your family to develop a practical plan to ensure that your child meets their nutritional needs at different ages or stages.

Food allergies, intolerances and family food.

Eating well as a family can be more difficult if your child has food allergies or intolerances. At Appletree Children’s Health we offer a specialist food allergy nutrition service including, but not limited to: advice for food allergen avoidance, breastfeeding exclusion diets for allergies, use of infant formulas, introduction to solid foods and assessment of growth and nutritional adequacy.  We see many children with multiple food allergies and can work with your family to meet your child’s dietary needs at all ages and stages from fussy toddler eating, managing special diets at child care, and transition to primary school and high school.
